About My Audio Bio

Our lives and our memories are linked to music. My Audio Bio is a place to share the stories and the songs that make up our history. Whether you have one great story, many great stories, or just want to browse how music has impacted the lives of others; this is the place for music fans.

My Audio Bio is an autobiographical catalogue of your musical history. It gives you a way to connect your life to music, share the stories with your friends on Facebook, as well as make new friends by connecting over the stories you post on our site. Want to turn all your stories into a soundtrack? My Audio Bio also lets users assemble playlists of their stories to share with friends via the upcoming iPhone app.

The idea for My Audio Bio was hatched by Dan Morris, a musician who helped launch a web development company with two partners Atlanta. "Being involved in the process of launching client's web apps and iPhone apps, our own ideas were always kicked around at the office." Driving in one day (while blasting De La Soul) the idea sparked, what if we could capture history, memories and stories related to music.

As a huge High Fidelity fan Dan was always impacted by the scene, where Rob (Cusack) is cathartically reorganizing his record collection; not alphabetically, not chronologically ...autobiographically. I think Dick's reaction says it best (you'll have to see the movie to find out). "This scene really impacted me the first time I saw the movie" Dan said, "this is how I think about music". "High Fidelity was definitely an early influencer leading up to the My Audio Bio idea.
