The Mixtape
It's a time honored tradition to make people mixtapes. Especially your girlfriend or someone you want to be your girlfriend. Usually it comes off as cheesy and is pretty embarrassing in hindsight. But there is always that one tape that was perfect from beginning to end. When I first met Jessica, my wife now, she was dating someone else. So obviously the only logical step from there was to make her a mixtape to win her over with my immaculate taste in music and ability to use other peoples words to convey my emotions. The tape was perfect from start to finish, but the one song that really sealed the deal, was including 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover by Paul Simon. So I gave her the tape for her birthday and she quit dating that other guy and the rest is history.
