ugly day, desmoines
on the last day of my junior year of college, a boy confessed he liked me. i was delighted because i had started liking him too. he was to go overseas for summer and i wouldn't hear back from him until fall.
i spent the entire summer thinking about it, and liking him more and more. when he got back he acted like he had forgotten what he said, and it turns out while he was gone he started dating his 'best friend' -- he introduced me to her and i was slightly bitter, but she wasn't really ugly. she was really nice, and they were good for each other so i couldn't be too mad. but i did listen to this song many times to console myself. they ended up getting married, and i am still friends with the both of them. :)
