another rainy escape
I have been a huge Sigur Ros fan since getting their first US release in 2000, however the songs from ( ) always remind me of one night in Melbourne FL.
Matthew and I went to see Denison Marrs and Twothirtyeight play at a little punk venue. It was pouring rain. We wanted to see the show, but more, we just wanted to get away and be alone and away from people. While everyone was watching the bands play, without even saying goodbye to our friends, we ran through the parking lot and escaped to my car. We drove home and lit candles and lay on the floor of my bedroom and let this album envelope us.
