Legion Field Pervert
The first time I had even heard of John Mayer, he was performing at a big field behind my dorm in Athens. I'd never heard his songs, they weren't yet on the radio, and John was mainly a popular guy across college campuses.
Since the concert was free, and I was a musician, I heard it was worth seeing. I was completely blown away by his performance, which began with the odd instrumentation of bass guitar and electric guitar. That's weird, but it worked.
And, the dude was awesome. My only real memory was thinking, how big of a pervert he was from the stage. In between one song, he asked the crowd "who is getting laid tonight." What a stupid question, considering there is no sex on college campuses.
I still bought his album, and have been a 10-year, loyal fan.
