I believe in Miracle Whip

This is one of this stories that is probably funny to a total of two people...

My buddy Brandon and I worked in a music store in our "High Fidelity" days... only our music store was not cool, it was an FYE at the mall.

We would sometimes get to play the music we wanted in the store but more times then not, we had to listen to seasonal promos and the like.

One day we kept hearing the "I believe in miracles" (You Sexy Thing by Hot Chocolate)...we decided to add the word "whip" after "miracles" every time the song came on. This was absolutely hilarious to us in our boredom from working long hours at the store.

Mayonaise is funny

It has been nearly 8 years since working together at the music store. I now have two kids and Brandon lives in new Zealand... The really funny thing is that we still talk about this and still find it funny.

For your viewing pleasure, here is a montage of Miracle Whip mayonaise. (click on the images and scroll through)

Raymond and the Cheese

This song by the very  good looking band "Hot Chocolate" has been used over and over again throughout the years.

Probably the most recent use was the video "Raymond and the Cheese" which went viral on the internet awhile ago.

...I think this is the most random MAB story yet.

More Miracles

We also started adding "whip" to other songs, like this Mike and the Mechanics song.

There were a lot of "All I need is a Miracle" videos to choose from...

I picked this one because of Mike's incredible braided belt that he has his sleeveless shirt tucked into ...and the fact that he starts the song out singing Harry Belafonte like a crazy person.

Nancy Carter Moore I love it! I think others have stories like this. Restaurants have tapes that play over and over again, so when you work there you get to know which ones are coming up, and you get soooo tired of some of them. When I waited tables at Chili's in Houston, TX one of the songs on the tape was the old Brenda Lee song that goes "I'm sorry .... soooo sorrrrrry ...." and I was at the beverage station where we all filled the mugs with soda and tea when I heard my friend T.J. singing under her breath "You're sorrrry ... so sorrrryy ..." I knew she was talking about the obnoxious people in the large party she was waiting on. :)

Ponyboy Dan... This made me laugh so hard. Then the more I started thinking about it... I couldn't help but think... are you sure about the song? Remember I said my memory was hazy... but for some reason I thought it was "All I need is a miracle (whip)... All I need is you" by Mike & the Mechanics..? Am I wrong? Is my collective consciousness playing tricks on me? =D

Dan ...that's right, I forgot we started adding "whip" to multiple songs! It definitely started out with "You Sexy Thing" though. It was n one of those samplers we had 70's hits sampler, 80's hits sampler etc.
