John Mayer=My Guilty Pleasure

Hated by many but loved by me which is why I am listing him as my Guilty Pleasure. I can still remember the very first time I saw him play I was still in high school and went to celebrate a friends 21st birthday. His voice and guitar playing is what immediately hooked me. He looked so nerdy and cute too and kept talking about being a very poor musician so I bought a t-shirt with his name on it because I felt so bad for him, plus he looked like he hadn't showered or eaten in days. I didn't see him play again till college when I drove all the way to Memphis with a friend to see him. Maroon Five opened and then John did his thing. He played maybe 4 or 5 popular songs and then he just jammed on his guitar and I fell in love. I'm a huge Stevie Ray Vaughn fan and he played cover after cover and I fell deeper and deeper. Seriously hand's down (second to Jack White) one of the top five best guitar players. His music is also so relatable to people and that is another reason why I love him, his entire Continuum album got me through my last year of college and I am obsessed with Battle Studies. Feel however you want about his private life that he loves to make public but to me he will always be that geeky 20 something playing in a half packed bar just doing what he does best, playing great guitar.
